I have my first OB appt. tomorrow and I am 7 weeks. I was just wondering if anyone knew if the doppler would be able to pick up my baby's heart beat or is it to early to do so? thanks

It's still too early. Most dr.s try around 12 weeks. Some people have been lucky enough to hear it at 10, but 7 is really early. You can SEE the heartbeat on an ultrasound by this time though!

I heard it with at doppler at 7.5 weeks. I am thin to start and my dr. said that makes a big difference, because there is less fat and stuff to go through to get to the baby. Make sense? Good Luck, I hope you can hear it, it is so amazing the first time!!

I heard my little ones heartbeat at 8w 4d...I am of average size and I've heard that being a smaller to average size person makes its easier for the doppler to pick up the heartbeat.

Yes. I am 8 weeks, and it was 174 beats per minute. They said you can hear the heart beat really early. Good luck.
