I am so sorry you are going through this rotten time. An ultrasound of course only averages out sizes and babies. So yes it can be off. However, there is a huge difference in a 12 week baby and a 6 week baby. A 6 week baby will look like a ball of cells sometimes/sometimes not with a heartbeat. At 12 weeks the baby looks like a baby with kicking legs and arms. I'm not sure what the answer is for you. It is great that they want to do another scan. It will tell you so much more. You have prayers coming to you.

Could it be possible that you got pregnant later than you thought? Did you take a hpt around the time that your period should have shown up and got a positive. I don't know what to tell you, other than keep your chin up and wait for the next scan to get some answers. Good luck!!!

Hi Kelly, I am going thru the same thing. I went in for my fist u/s on the 12th thinking I was around 12 weeks ( my last period was Sept 27th!) the u/s should 6 weeks 1 day and they did not see a heartbeat. I have to go back in this Thursday for another u/s. My HGC levels were over 26,000. I am so confused! I have had no cramping or bleeding and never did have any morning sickness. Good luck to you honey!
