Constant Cramping

I'm wondering if constant cramping is normal. I am about 5 to 6 weeks pregnant. I haven't been to the doctor yet, but 2 different pregnancy tests showed an immediate positive result. I have had constant cramping since around the time I would have started my period. It never goes away. It feels like I'm fixing to have a really bad period and it also feels like terrible gas with a lot of bloating. I hear many people say that their cramping comes and goes but mine doesn't do that. It never goes away. I'm never doubled over, but it is quite uncomfortable at times. I didn't have this with my first pregnancy. I worry because I'm almost 39 and I'm in the high risk category. So far, I've had no bleeding. I also feel discomfort on my right lower abdomen as if it's a cyst. Has anyone else experienced this?

Ok, I went to the doctor today to have a sonogram because the pain on my right side became worse. I wasn't doubled over but I was in pain. It turns out that everything is fine!! I have a cyst (like I thought). I am 6 weeks 2 days today. I already got to see pictures of the baby and hear its heartbeat. It was 140 bpm. I wanted to post this so it could let others know not to worry so much if they are having the same problems.
