I don't know from my personal experience, but the same thing happened with my best friend...no sickness with her son, but horrible sickness with her daughter. Interesting!

Same here. I had a son, and had no sickness. My sister has 2 girls and was sick with both. So far, I'm not sick this time either. How far along are you? I'm just over 4 weeks. Good luck to you!!

hi - October 9

well thats a load of garbage.i think some people get just plain lucky with no sickness.i do not.lol.i have 2 boys and i got sick with both for months.was awful with my second it went into my 7th month.how bad is it that you can't barely lean over the toilet for the hump of the baby???lol.so sorry i got to say this isn't probably an accurate way to predict the gender.congrats all on your pregnancies .have a happy 9months.

I had absoutely NO sickness whatsoever, thought yeah. im having a boy... then it came to the ultrasound... and.... im having a girl... I have been feeling really good.. and now i only hav 15 weeks to go... so i dont think that the no sickness wives tale for boys is true.

I went with my instincts too. With my first I wasn't very sick just naseous. I loathed unknown women, but wanted to find out the s_x the old fashioned way. I a__sumed from my intense dislike of women, I was having a girl. I was right. This time I was sick, sick sick, sick. I hurled everyday all day until the magical 14 week mark, at that time I learned I was having a boy. He flashed the doc on the U/S and we all saw it. Nothing wrong with foing with your instincts, before there were doctors there were mothers who had to work this stuff out for themselves, hence wives tales. I will admit some of them are a load of hooey, but some of them must have been based on something real. Now we are taught not to trust our own instincts but some guy who will never be pregnant. Yeah U/S are great for determining s_x but how many stories have you heard of them being wrong?

Ladies- I really think that every pregnancy is different. Usually sickness is spurred on by higher HCG levels (and there may be other factors, but I know thats one). Some women just produce more of the hormone, and when there is a whole lot of it......its more for your body to adjust to. You also have to remember there is a 50/50 chance of a boy and a girl. I hate to say it but if you've been ultra sick for some pregnancy's and not for another....its just a different pregnancy. You may very well have a boy, but look how high the odds are for you being right. I'm really not saying this to start a fight, but just wanted to express my opinion. good luck to you all.

I have three boys and was very sick with all three pregnancies. I would say every pregnancy is different. Hopefully that is the case. If I ever have girl I would not get sick.
