Has anyone been concerned about taking airline flights while pregnant? Anything to be concerned about in the 1st Trimester?

Yes I wanted to know this as well, but everyone was saying that it was fine. I wanted to make sure those metal detector things would be alright to walk through.

Don't be concerned if it was a problem we wouldn't be allowed to fly - I'm an Air Hostie!!

Yep, I flew at 6 weeks. My doctor said it was totally fine.

I asked my Dr the same thing and was told that during the 1st and 2nd trimesters as long as you are having a normal pregnancy that ther is nothing to worry about. She said that they recomend you not travel by any means outside I think it was 3 hours from home during the last trimester for the only reason of having a problem or going into labor and not getting to your hospital in time. Other than that enjoy your trip.

I will be flying, a very long trip, at 7 1/2 weeks. I'm worried I might have nausea then and that air travel will make it worse. Anyone have any experience with this? I have read that air travel is safe at this time, though!
