I cannot seem to get warm unless I am totally bundled up. I thought pregnant women were always "warmer" because your body temp is naturally higher! I am not sick (no fever, no sore throat, no stuffiness - no nothing) and I am not getting "chills". I am fine as long as I wear a sweater or thermals. The reason I am concerned is that the temp outside is inthe 60's-70's. I am 9 weeks and saw the HB and my Hcg's are good - so far a normal pregnancy. I am also 5'4" and 120 lbs. with low blood pressure (100/60). Could the development of the baby be causing all my energy to be concentrated in that one area while the rest of my body is cold? Anyone else feel like this?

I'm sorry, I don't know the answer to your question. But I've been going through the exact same thing. I read somewhere that this can happen if your thyroid is off (common during and after pregnancy), so I think I'm going to ask the doc to check it. I'm almost 11 weeks, and also thin with low blood pressure. Hopefully this is just normal for us, but it sure will stink when winter rolls around!

I was having and am having the same thing. and my husband did some reasoning with me: if your body is warmer.. then you will feel the cold more. like when you have a fever you get cold.. since your body temperature is high the temperature outside that hits you will seem colder than it is. that is why in the summer a breeze (even if warm) feels so good.

Pam- I was the same way and found out I was very anemic. Talk to your doctor about your concerns.

My mother is slightly anemic, so I wouldn't be surprised if I am too. I just had a huge prime rib last night...gotta get some red meat into my diet, I guess! LOL. Anyhow, thanks for getting back to me. I am sitting here in a wool sweater and thermal shirt and am finally comfortable. Seeing the doctor this week....Good luck to everyone!
