Heartbeat What Does It Sound Like On Doppler

Confused - June 23

Hi, Can anyone describe what the babys heartbeat should sound like on a doppler? I am getting confused - websites say you can hear the wooshing of the placenta, but other people have described the heartbeat as a sort of wooshing sound, but not a constant one - more like woosh woosh. Other websites describe a galloping horse sound as the heartbeat. I can hear all 3 and lot's more noises to be honest! My doppler is one that displays the heart rate as well, but the only sound I can hear consistantly and clearly is a woosh woosh one and it does not register over 100 bpm (which makes me think it must be my heartbeat or blood flow).
