Hi everyone I am so excited I had my first u/s and everything was great. I am only 11w5d so I don't know what it is yet but it's heartbeat was good. I do have some concern about my glucose levels it wasn't suppose to be over 140 and it was 154. I have to go back for a more extensive test. Has anyone been through this and can shed some light on it for me.

I had to take the three hour glucose test, and what I wish I'd been told ahead of time is that they won't let you drink water during the test! I didn't drink a lot beforehand, and by the last hour I was so dehydrated they could barely get any blood out of me. (kidding?) Also, I'd pack a snack to eat right after you're done.

If you still have high levels after the 3 hour test - like the others talked about you will probably be told that you have gestational diabetes, you will probably have to attend a cla__s, they will instruct you on how to check your blood sugar and what to eat and if that controls your blood sugar then you wont need to take medicine to control your sugar! I hope this make sense, and I don't mean to scare you. I had gestational diabetes with my dd and that is what I went through. My best friend did not pa__s the first test, but when she went in for the 3 hour test she was fine and didn't have to worry about it anymore! I hope that your numbers are better, but monitoring your sugar is not that bad!!! Good Luck!!
