Highlights On Hair

Hi everyone, I have just found out that I am pregnant and I'm 4 weeks. Since this is very recent, I went to my hair dresser to give me some low lights (darker) on the ends, and just a tiny little bit highlights on my roots without touching the scalp. Do you think I could have harmed my babe? She doesn't use any strong chemicals likew peroxidase water for her colorings.... Thanks a lot for your responses

I'm sure that is fine. I think I read that highlights are ok as they're not touching your scalp, compared to a hair dye that is plastered all over your head and can absorb into your skin. I don't think you have anything to worry about!:) P.S With my last pregnancy, I put a full hair dye in and everything was fine, not that I'm recommending anyone do that!

OMG! I have a 7 month old baby now, but when I was pregnant I was so afraid to get my hair colored so I didn't. When I was about 30 weeks or so pregnant I finally asked my Dr. if it was ok and she said ofcourse it's ok! She said I can't believe you went all this time wanting to color your hair to feel better about yourself and you didn't do it. She said take a bath, color your hair etc. She said if it wasn't ok to color your hair then hairdressers would never get pregnant because that's all they do everyday that they are pregnant. I guess that makes sense when you put it like that.
