Hips Hurting

The muscles in my hips/low back are hurting a lot today. Anyone else have this issue at 12 weeks? Does it have something to do with my enlarged ovary, or just my leggings cutting off my circulation?

If its in your lower back/b___t area (maybe it also feels like it hurts where your leg bone meets your hip bone) then that is something called Posterior Pelvic Pain. The only thing you can do to help it is to get a soft pillow to sit on. If this doesn't sound like what you have then it might just be general soreness. I doubt the two things you mentioned would be a cause, but if you feel your leggings are too tight thats something to consider changing now that you're pregnant.

HCG (the PG hormone) causes the ligaments in your pelvis to loosen for childbirth. So YES!! Its normal, and I totally have it too!! I took Tylenol at night...

Hey Megan, I am also 12 weeks and my lower back and hips are sore quite a bit!! Just like akmomma said its from all the hormones and preparing for childbirth... probably also making room for growing baby =) I take tylenol too, i get really really bad headaches, but my dh ia always yelling at me that even tylenol is going to make the baby retarded and have 3 feet.... i know he is mainly wrong but i cant help feeling really bad if i even take 500mg a day, 5 days a week....
