Last week I started getting my nausea which was normal, no vomitting though. And for the past 3 days I've been in bed with nausea that I have never felt before. Everything I eat comes right back up, crackers, water, soup, juice.. I feel like there is nothing left in my stomache & I'm just dry heaving now because there is nothing to throw up. I cant eat. I really thought I was going to die it was so bad last night.

yeah it is very very debilitating. I shouldn't have gone on with it as long as I did. I say wait a couple of days and if you are still this bad go to the doctor or call your OB/GYN. I called mine and said "I can't do this anymore" and they didnt' even have me come in. They called the prescription into Wal*Mart and My husband went and picked it up an hour later. It has been wonderful feeling good again. I let the severe nausea and vomiting rob me of my joy of being pregnant and it has taken a while for my joy to come back. Obviously I couldn't work and I became very depressed. It came to the point where my husband would come home during his breaks just to hold me while I cried. I urge you to not let it go on for as long as I did. It can be very detrimental to your mental health along with causing you to lose weight and not be able to keep down nutrients that the baby needs.

My first appt is on Friday so I am definatly going to talk about this with my doctor. My boyfriend has the flu or some bad bug and I dont know if I got drift of that on top of my morning sickness. But my morning sickness lasts all day. He has more cold like symptoms and I have nausea/vomitting/& cant eat. I feel like death!

yeah, mine lasted all day too. I once asked my husband "is this what someone who's dying feels like" At one point I got the stomach flu on top of the morning sickness and I had chills, fever and dhiarrea along with the m/s.

I was diagnosed with this after ending up in hospital with severe dehydration. I lost a total of 10 pounds in weight and was sick from 51/2 weeks until 13 weeks, I'm just beginning to feel better now at 14 weeks. Fortunately my dr acted fairly quickly and prescribed zofran for me. It definitely helps as it stops you from throwing up but it doesn't get rid of the nausea. Don't suffer in silence as this really is a miserable condition and the medication can help. I couldn't eat any of the usual remedies, eg. crackers, but found I could drink milk and eat toast. U/s have shown that the baby is doing just fine so don't worry about it affecting him/her, just focus on speaking to your dr and getting as much help and support as you can. Good luck.

my sister had hyperemesis and was hospitalized with both her pregnancies. It go a little better into her second trimester, and she was able to go back to work with an IV that she had to change. She delivered a perfectly healthy son and daughter eleven years apart. Good luck to you
