Gabi your post is a little confusing...catching a cold during pregnancy...first trimester...should be ok...you have a harder time during this stage because during the first trimester they really dont want to prescribe anything(certain parts of the baby that are forming/growing. You should be fine...bundle up some more if you catch colds easily and stay stong on your vitamin c...as well as eating healthy...good luck

It's not dangerous. It is harder to recover from colds and diseases like colds/flus because your immune system could be down since your body is busy making a baby. I had a series of sinus infections in the first trimester of my first pregnancy that I thought I'd never recover from. You will be fine, just don't take any medications that are not approved by your doctor and try to get as much rest and clear fluids as possible.

Can you take Halls cough drops while pregnant?

Kristen, i have had cold for the past three days with cough. I did some saline water(warm water+ salt) and gorgled twice a day it really helped... Don't take any medication without consulting ur dr or nurse. Take care.
