Hello Ladies... I am currently right at about 10 wks. pregnant. Had my first sonogram 2 wks. ago and there was a fetal heart rate of 154 bpm. Alot of people have been telling me that the change of M/C goes down after a heart beat is seen. Does anyone know of any good articles about this. Has anyone ever asked there doc. about it? i have another u/s tomorrow and am very nervous as to what I am going to see. I m/c a year ago and I am still very scared during this first few months. Any advice will help. Thanks a bunch.

Hi! Unfortunately I haven't bookmarked any of the articles I found, but here is the summay. Most articles state that miscarriage rate is from 15-25% in first trimester and that counts in chemical pregnacies. A certain % of the mc due to bligh ovum is caught late, at first appt. I also found an article that states that if HB has been detected and it is not below 90, that mc rate goes down to about 5% and it remains at that rate until delivery. Take care
