I have some pain in the lower abdomen, near the pelvic area. I am 5 weeks preg. It is not severe but I am worried about ectopic pregnancy. Has anyone had the same symptons? It is my first pregnancy. Very worried.

Hi hon, i can sense you are desperate, a lot of the time it should go if you take some rest for a while...its nothing to worry about if it goes away. if it is there shortly then perhaps see a doctor to get it checked out..but ur uterus is stretching so some pain and tiwnges are normal

I am 5 weeks and 4 days preg... I feel slight twinges and tingles once in a while around my abdomen area. Since it is not always I am not that worried.

I am 6 weeks and the doctor thought I may have an ectopic pregnancy. I think there are a lot of other signs. If all you have is some pain, that seems normal. Everything is stretching down there to make room.

I had the same aches and pains at that stage also. It's normal. If it's horribly painful, call your doctor. But if it feels like period cramps, it's normal. Mine quit around 7-8 weeks and I felt more bloated than crampy. I've heard some women say they've had very painful cramping but their doc just told them to take Tylenol and ride it out. So I'm sure you're fine.

I feel slight pressure and small twinges of pain in my lower abdomen. I am 20 weeks along. Is this normal?

Sonia, I had the same pain, but on one side at first. (5.5wks) Dr. did an ultrasound to be sure pregnancy was in the uterus. Said pain is normal, and mine is mostly in the middle now. Apparently consistent pain on one side, low down might be checked to be safe.
