According to my last period date (Jan.29th 2005), I should have completed my 6 weeks of pregnancy last week.
- I went for my ultrasound last week, on Thursday, March 17th 2005 - the doctor said the york is only 5 weeks 3 days.
- The blood test showed I had high hgc level 14,760 for that young of a york. Also, the hgc level didn't quite double in the two boold tests i took with a gap of 48 hours. the first one was 8,770 and the next was 14,760.
- I have been spotting off and on since the past two weeks. Does this mean I am having a miscarriage?

I'm not sure about the HCG level part but if the u/s showed you at 5 weeks 3 days instead of 6 weeks I would say that is close enough to not be worried. Dating a pregnancy by LMP is often not accurate anyway because you don't ovulate on the last day of your period, therefore you really can't get pregnant right after your LMP. I wouldn't worry about the dates. Even the HCG levels, though rising slow don't seem too bad. The spotting is the main thing that would worry me. I can't really say that you aren't having a miscarriage but try to be optimistic, things don't look too bad. Good luck.

Mosa the same thing happened to me. I think most of the time like Misty stated it is off by a week or two. They measured me at 5weeks today and I am 7 weeks LMP. Is the spotting heavy and bright red? I would check with your doc if you are concerned, I do think some spotting is normal though.
