I am 7 weeks pregnant with my first, i have the most terrible nausea and vomiting that lasts all day...i went to the doctor the other day and she told me it is completly normal. Is anybody else having it as bad as me or am i just really unlucky ? i have already lost two kilos.

i am 11 weeks pregnant and my nausea and vomiting is all day long. It started out as just nausea when I was about 6 weeks but has only gotten worse since. Trust me, I know where you're coming from. I can't keep anything down and it is starting to really wear me down. They say it usually pa__ses after the first trimester so I am just keeping my fingers crossed.

I am preggo with my second child, but so far no vomiting for me. The first time I would get sick in the middle of the night. It didn't matter what time of day. I can definitly understand what you are going through. It only was for the first trimester. But it felt like forever. Hang in there! Try to eat saltines and bread. Avoid acidy foods. I hope you feel better!

I also suffer from nausea and vomitting but only in the morning. However, i have stomach discomfort throughout the the rest of the day. Have lost between 2-3 kilos.

I also suffer from the same as all of you and am 8 weeks. My obgyn offered a few days ago to put me on a drip to get some fluids into me and to keep me from dehydrating - something he says could potentially be very bad for the baby. He also said it could give me a few good days afterwards which could be very appreciated. It basically consists of a day in hospital (no overnight stay required) where they pump you full of fluids. The other option is some medication to help. There are some prexcription medication which is considered safe for pregnancy. I haven't done either and am trying to do this without meds, but I am seriously considering it. I would do anything for a couple of days without sickness. I know it's normal, but it's a bloody horrible part of the pg. Bring on 12 weeks!

Thought I might give you ladies an update. I ended up being admitted to hospital on Thursday due to dehydration. I called my obgyn when I couldn't handle all the throwing up anymore. I was put on a drip to rehydrate me and some anti-nausea stuff to make me feel better. I stayed overnight and felt A LOT better the next day. It stopped the vomiting, and although I still feel very under the weather and nausious, at least I'm not throwing up. They prescribed me Vitamin B6 which studies have shown helps for morning sickness. I think you can only get this on prescription though.

There is light. Trust me. Im 10-11 weeks. I started really bad morning sickness that was all day also, and out of no where it just STOPPED. I got to the point where I just kept being hospitalized because of dehydration, only to get pumped of fluids and gohomeand vomit aagain. I couldnt even keep down WATER. Try crackersbefore you even lift your head off the pillow in the morning...eat small meals...avoid spicy foods....even though youdont feel up toit, eat and drink...before you vomit you can absorb some nutrients. I tried Gatoraid and water....to keep from getting dehydrated. Its NOT Fun...but it wont last forever. Good luck

I had nausea for the past 3 weeks ( I am 9-11 weeks right now). I have had all day morning sickness and believe me it is horrible to be puking at work in the public bathrooms. I finally went to the doctor ( I tried somenex and vitamin b, and taking my prenantal at night, but no luck) so they finally gave me zofran- which is safe for pregnancy and is a pill that dissolves on your tongue ( thank god : ) and that has done the trick for me- now if there was something for the tiredness : (

You're lucky. I'm throwing up all day too but I'm still gaining weight. It is horrible but just look at what we get in the long run. :)

With my first the All day morning sickness was horrible, so far (only 5 weeks along) knock on wood....not even a hiccup. I did have luck with Motion Sickness Bands (walgreens/drug store) I think the brand name is Travel Eze Wristbands for Motion Sickness or check them out on the net. They were just wrist bands that had a pressure point area. It helped alot believe it or not. If you look on the internet for the spot were to give pressure on your wrists...you wont have to buy the bands

Hi ladies, I experienced this level of ms with my first pregnancy. Here is my advice that I wrote on another thread, and will just copy here--------------Hi Susan, when I was pregnant I experienced the same thing. The only thing that helped me was snapple lemonaid. I couldn't tell you why it helped, it just did. I would drink it with everymeal, but I wouldn't go over 2 bottles a day b/c its filled w/ sugar. I know it probably sounds weird but I know that you are willing to try just about anything. Oh, and another thing I did was to set the air conditioner to about 68 degrees. Keeping cool seemed to help me a lot. I also remember eating a lot of cheerios. Hope this helps. Good Luck!
