No Heartbeat At 10 Weeks

I went to my first DR visit yesterday. When the DR was doing the internal check of my cervix and placement, she said it was tilted up and very high, and that i probably wont be able to hear the heartbeat. She didnt sound concerned at all, but sure enough, no heartbeat. She scheduled me for an ultrasound so i can get a more precise due date, and so that i can hear the heart. Anyone else have this happen? Im assuming its normal, but still paranoid. When did you hear the heartbeat? Thanks ladies!

My doctor couldn't find the HB at 10 weeks either. She just scheduled me to come back two weeks later to try again. I had already had an u/s at 8 weeks and saw the heart then. I don't think there's anything to worry about -- 10 weeks is too early for some people to hear the HB with a Doppler.

Dont worry about it. My DR would not even try to find the heart beat at 8-10 weeks, she said it is too hard to find and did not want to give me any false worries. Dont stress. You will see the heart on your u/s appt.

Went today for the ultrasound, everything was in order. Saw the little dude moving about, and her (Crosses Fingers!) little chest light up like ET with the heartbeat! Heart rate was 165.2 but the tech said that doesnt mean anything, the rate could be higher or lower depending on how active you and the baby have been, (makes sense, when i run a mile my heartrate is a LOT higher). Im due for Feb 14, so i will be graduating from this board and onto the 2nd trimester board. Good luck ladies!

Don't worry. I just went to the doctor yesterday and heard the heartbeat for the first time. I am 13 1/2 weeks.
