Hi all, i am 28 preg. with 1st baby. right now i just started my 8th week and have been having a pain right through out since 10dpo on the lower right of the abdomen. Is this normal? Its a stinging pain wich lasts for a few seconds and then vanishes and comes back again after some time... any help greatly appreciated.

The same thing happened to me around the same time, and I was terrified. I was so sure that my pregnancy was ectopic, and I was going to lose my baby and my fertility. But I talked to several doctors, and they said that there is a very low risk that the pregnancy is ectopic if you have no bleeding, and the pain doesn't cause you to double over. Then, after some thought, i remembered that I had strained a muscle on that side while doing a prenatal yoga tape. Now I am 13 weeks along, and my ligaments are starting to stretch, which is probably what yours are doing, especially if this is baby #1. Also, you may have a cyst, which is harmless and usually dissapears by the end of pregnancy. I had one with my daughter and it caused no trouble. If you are really worried, try to make an appt. with your dr. a little early, and they can do an ultrasound.

SNOW BABY, I AM 8 WEEKS AND 2 DAYS PREGNANCY TODAY. I FEEL CRAMPS ALSO. THE CRAMPS ARE VERY SIMILAR TO PERIOD CRAMPS OR GAS. THEY LAST ABOUT 3 TO 5 SECONDS. THE DOCTOR SAID IT IS VERY NORMAL. IT'S JUST YOUR UTERUS GETTING READY FOR YOUR LITTLE PEANUT. HOPE THIS HELPS.
