Please Help I Keep Having Diarrhea

Ok, I have ready several posts about women who are constipated, & right now I am wishing that was me! For the past 2 or 3 days I have been having diarrhea! I'm definitely not sick. I don't know if it is just nerves, with just finding out that I am pg. or what. Any suggestions??

Meg, its definitely okay that you have diarhea. I do too. My obgyn (who I love) explained it like this. When you get pregnant your body changes in sooooooo many different ways. The hormones change which makes enzymes change which changes the makeup of the acids in your stomach and your intestines. She said while it is normal for women to become constipated, a women who doesnt eat enough fiber or who eats a lot of fatty foods or just a women with certain enzymes in her stomach will have the reverse affect. She told me no worries and while its irritating its nothing to worry about. :) So, how long have you been trying? Is this your first? Have you had another beta yet?

Thanks krissy! I think I eat a fair amount of fiber & I definitely don't eat too much fatty food...I should probably eat more...I think I'm too skinny! Getting big is one of my favoritve parts about being pregnant! Yes, I have been pg. once before. I have a wonderful ds! How about you? I have just had the 2 betas. I am scheduled for another beta on Tuesday, but I think I would like to change it to Monday...I can't wait until Tuesday, then I have to wait until Wed. to find out, & that is just too long!! We were trying for awhile. I b___stfed my ds for a very long time, & since then AF did not seem to know how to work anymore! The dr. finally put me on Clomid & trigger shot...this was my 2nd cycle of Clomid. How about you?

One more question for you krissy. If my beta was 381 on Wednesday what should it be (in order to be considered good) if it is taken on Tuesday? I'm thinking somewhere around 3200?? Thanks!

krissy2006 - October 19

Hey Meg, technically if your beta doubles exactly every 48 hours your beta on tuesday should be no less than 3048. Obviously higher is better. As for me I will not be getting a 2nd beta till next Monday.. the 29th UGH! And then a possible u/s on the 1st or 2nd. :) I do not have any other kids and just that one other pregnancy/miscarriage... So this will be my first baby bub... :) Congrats!!! I am at work and celebrating with a birthday lunch for one of my co-employees. Gonna go do that and will be back in about an hour or so. Hope we can chat then!

BTW why cant your doc put your blood tests on stat so you can get them the results the same day? You should ask about that. :)

Thanks krissy! I definitely could not wait that long for another beta! I made an appt. w/ my family dr. & they said that was no problem. I am really hoping for an u/s around the same time. That would put us at just over 6 weeks. I know with my ds I had an u/s about half way through my 6th week & his little heart was just beating away...it was the most amazing thing ever! Here's to a happy & healthy nine months for the both of us! :-) Congrats to you to!

hi! I also read that diarrhea happens because your body is flushing out toxins that are harmful to the baby. But its nothing to worry about. That stage should pa__s soon!

krissy2006 - October 19

That sounds very logical newlywed and even though my doc never mentioned it I am sure that is a huge reason why we get it. LOL... so how are you ladies? What are your symptoms? How far along newlywed?

meg - October 19

Krissy, I don't think that my OB's office can do it that quickly. They don't draw blood in the office, I have to go to a different office. It's not the most convenient & most likely I am going to switch OB's, but I am going to wait a few weeks before I definitely make up my mind! newlywed, if that's the case, then I must be full of toxins! :-) I have always thought that I was pretty toxing free...but I guess not! :-) I've been following your posts, do you know how far along you are? That would be great if we were all really close together! Either of you have any symptoms yet? I have none...which always worries me!

I have really sore bbs. And I think I am becoming narcoleptic because I could sleep at any time of the day... ZzzzZZZZzzzzZZZZzzzzz.... other than that I feel fine. I am peeing a bit more than normal but nothing drastic. Something that I have noticed since I became pregnant and happened last time also is my big kitty is much more affectionate with me. (I say big kitty cuz I just got a kitten too) anyway she loves to lay on my stomach and knead it. I think they can smell the hormone ??? Cuz normally she doesnt like to be held for any period of time and will not just randomly lay on anyone. How are your husbands acting? How did they react?

krissy2006 - October 19

BTW Meg, I wouldnt suggest switching OBs unless you really dislike your current one or have a serious need to. Because it can be stressful and also because what happens if you don't like the next one. Then your OB hopping. Wait... who am I to tell you not to? wow, hormonal bossiness coming out here. Anyway thats just my SUGGESTION. LOL sorry about that. Anyway, tghats a bummer they cant do the tests quickly. They process the tests at the same location as my OB so I just request being put on stat (as in, right now...LOL) and I have results within an hour. Its lovely!

I've been going pee a lot mroe than usual. Some days are worse than others. My lower back has been sore for 3 weeks...and today, my whole baack is sore. I think I will ask hubby for a ma__sage today. The symptoms I have consistently are headaches, nausea, the backaches, discharge, fatigue, frequent urination, heartburn and acid reflux. The amount of discharge varies. I have also been dreaming every night since I found out I was pregnant...and even before. I hardly ever dream! Lol! I think I'm around 8 weeks....but I'm unsure! I can't wait to go to the Dr.s on Nov.5th so they can help with that! Because frankly, I'm so confused! How about ya'';;? How far along are you?

meg - October 19

Krissy, I was so so tired until like 13 or 14 weeks when I was pg. with my ds. So far, I don't really seem to be too tired...at least no more than usual! My husband was happy, he laughed & told me that he knew it would happen, I just needed to be patient! (if we did not get pg. this cycle I was going to have him go in for a sperm a___lysis...he was not excited!) Now he just keeps telling me to relax, which I can't seem to do! How about yours? As far as the OB switching, I have met & gone to see once (several months ago) the OB that I would switch to. I don't have a problem w/ my OB, it's just that there office hours are not convenient (I teach school 40-50 minutes from the office & their last appt is at 3:20, which is always taken...I don't finish school until 2:40) & they only hold your appt fir 15 minutes, but yet every single time I go I wait for about an hour! It's just aggravating! Feel free to make any suggestions you like. :-) Newlywed, I'm about 4 1/2 weeks. I'll be 5 weeks on Tuesday (or Wednesday, but Tuesday comes first, so it wins!)

Hi ladies...how are you? I go today (this afternoon) for another hcg test. I'm trying not to be too worried about it. I just keep telling myself that everthing is fine! I just want to fast forward about 2 weeks so I can have an u/s & see the heartbeat! On a positive note, my belly seems to be all better! :-)
