Plus Size And 8 Weeks Pregnant

I am somewhat overweight for my age and height and am entering my eighth week of pregnancy. I am just wondering if us plus sized gals experience pregnancy any differently than average sized women? Some materials I've read do not report kindly on plus sized women who are pregnant and I've heard that reading ultrasounds etc. is more difficult. Does anyone have anything to share in this regard - I'm hoping responses are as informative as they are kind...thank you

I sure hope that people are not that judgmental. Everyone is different and we should be accepting of that. I too ,am plus size and just about at 13 weeks. They say that a regular u/s can be more difficult to read, but they can also do a v____al one too. I have heard that we may show later and may also have to wait to feel the baby move, but we are all different, so guess there are no set rules. There have been a few posts by some other plus size women so hang in there and check out the threads when you see them.

I have had 2 kids. Both pregnancies I was over weight 50 lbs. +. I am 5 wks pregnant for a 3rd time. My first 2 went fine. They never said anything about not being able to read the ultrasound. With my first I gained 50 lbs. the dr. was on my case. With my second I lost 8 pound in the first 7 months and then gained 8 or 9 in my last month. The dr. said because I am overweight that is fine. The only problem I really had was back pain, but a lot of women have that. I think you will be fine. Good luck
