Hello! I am almost 6weeks and I have been having moderate cramping...but sometimes they get very severe and hurt really badly. Like this morning, my cramps woke me up! I have no bleeding/spotting at all, but I am worried about this. My dr said to have NO caffeine and take it easy. This is my first pregnancy...just wondering if anyone thinks this could be ok....Thanks!

me too. especially in the beginning I noticed them more. and I too woke up in the night with them. but that happened only right then at the 6th week or so. I'm at the 10th now. and they are much more mild. as you know it is the uterus dilating to get larger so all good!

I had really really severe cramps as well. They lasted through about week 8, and then went to mild and finally went away. Mine were so painful they'd wake me up in the middle of the night and there was nothing I could do to make them stop. It hurt like hell. I'm 12wk now and everything is totally fine. Sorry you have to go through them... but they will go away, hopefully sooner rather than later!

Thank you for your answers! It makes me feel much better! I have told my doctor about this, and she told me to not have any caffeine and just take it easy. I was wondering if this may be because it is my first time and my uterus has never stretched before...thank you for your similar experiences!

yes, Dia, i had my first child in august but i did have serious cramping in the first trimester due to the stretching of ligaments around the uterus which scared me...it's common, especially in first time moms.
