Progesterone Levels

I am about 6 1/2 weeks. Can anyone tell me what the progesterone levels should be?

Hi. I was tested at about five weeks and my levels were at 36.2. The doctor said my numbers were "astronomical" since they usually want you to have anything over 10. The nurse told me that most women fall around 16 or 17 but can be anywhere from 10-90 during the first trimester. She said that it was no wonder why I was so sick because my levels were quite high. Hope this helps. If you do a search online for progesterone levels and pregnancy you should find more info on it. Good luck.

I just found out that I am pregnant. I had a few blood tests. The 1st one showed my HCG at 54, 2nd at 150, 3rd at 1498. But my progesterone started at 18, then 16, then 13.8. What my question is how important are progesterone levels. And are the HCG levels more important?

Tammy, Progesterone levels are just as important as HCG levels. your body can not support a pregnancy with enough progesterone. Usually when your levels drop, your doctor will put you on progesterone. My doctor has me on Crinone, which is a gel insert. I will have to be on this until i am 12 weeks and than the placenta takes over the production of progesterone. If your doctor did not sugguest this, I would certainly inquire! Your HCG levels look great and your progestrone is not a bad number. Good luck
