I have had really bad gas recently that tends to get worse at night. Is it ok if I take GasX? I'm about 9.5 weeks along I took it last night and got immediate relief, but I'm not sure if it's safe to take. Can any of you let me know if you took it and it's ok, or if you know something better? I'm not sure if it's what I'm eating that's making me so gassy (I try to have an apple, orange and pear everyday as snacks), but it's getting to be pretty bad. thank you!

This is not the safest thing to take. If you log onto safefetus.com, this site will give you information on all drugs, whether they are safe during pregnancy or not. I wouldn't worry about anything you've already taken, just check the site before you take anything else.

I have a list from my doc about what meds I can and can't take. They had listed Mylicon for excess gas. I looked for it and couldn't find it. When I asked the pharmacist if Mylicon was a brand or an ingrediant, she said it was a brand and that I could take Simethicone. Gas-X, and most gas relief pills have Simethicone as the active ingrediant. So my thought is that it is fine to take.
