Has anyone found any good books about pregnancy??

I've heard that What To Expect When You're Expecting is too scary to read. That is does nothing but alert you to what could go wrong. No thanks. I've really enjoyed A Girl Friends Guide To Pregnancy, it's funny and cute with a lot of good information plus it won't make you worry. Good luck.

I have 'what to expect when you're expecting' and it's not scary at all. (Better knowing if something's wrong rather than not knowing until it's too late.)

i have 'what to expect when your expecting' and found it was great! I didn't find it scarey at all. it was rather comforting actually. If i had a weird pain or symptom, just look it up in the book and you find out it's absolutely nothing to be worried about. It gave me more information than my doctor did most of the time, not to mention a month to month outline of what is happening with your baby. it's a great book. It's actually a great series! what to expect in the first year settles alot of your worries about your newborn, how to do everything from bath them, take their temp, to relieve teething pain.

I have read what to expect, I didn't think it was scary...although I have heard that too. But I like another one better. I think it's called your pregnancy week to week. It descibes what is happening to you and to your baby every week. My husband and I like to read it together each week.

I was given the Mayo Clinic Guide to Pregnancy at my first appt. It's great. It goes week by week on what's going on and what to expect and then stuff for after the baby is born. I love it. I haven't read anything else. I figure the more you read the scarier it is!
