Safe Chemical Hair Removers Nair And Bleach Body Hair

I just found out I was pregnant last week and now am going through the pains of dealing with body hair during pregnancy. I normally prefer to use Nair and bleach my body hair, however since I'm pregnant I've heard it is not safe because there is the chance the chemicals can absorb thru the skin. I'd like to know everyone's outlook on this. Is it to really dangerous?

I am 5 months pregnant and just used Jolene body bleach on my face, arms, and tummy. Now I am worried sick that I may have harmed my baby. Any comments please?

I went to the doctor's office today for my first pregnancy visit. I asked about hair bleach and she mentioned you should read the labels to see if there is any warning for pregnant women. If not, I'd call the company directly to see if they've had studies done on pregnant woment. As for Nair, doctor doesn't want me using it.

The best advice I could give you right now are....don't use any chemicals (ie. hair dye, nair, or whatso ever) that would make contact to your skin. I would suggest wait til u pa__s ur 1st trimester.....I have a friend that just got her hair done during her 3rd trimester and Dr. said it was fine to do......I think its critical during the first 3 mos. bcoz baby is still developing. I hope this helps.
