Crystal how far along are you? I ahd the same thing happen to me over this past weekend and today again. Teh docotr saw me on Monday and said it is very normal for some women to spot while they are pregnant. Especailly if it is around the time you should hae got your regular period. He told me not to worry he saw the sac at 5 weeks and said there would be blood coming off of it if I were having a m/c. Have you had your first u/s yet? Try not to stress , and call your doctor and see what he says. Good luck and let me know, because I am still a little scared too, I go back next Wed. for another u/s and maybe we will be able to see the baby then.

i have had 1 m/c and 1 missed pregnancy. Dont worry to much unless you're cramping and/or the blood turns red like a period. If its brown u r probably fine. Still talk to your doc though. Misscarriages feel much like a really bad period.

And what does a missed pregnancy feel like? is there any pain?

a missed preg. when the baby die but you haven't misscarried is not even noticable. I was 10 wks when I found out the baby only made it to 5wks 4 days. You don't even notice. Generally your body will misscarry on its own, thats when it hurts, with the miscarriage. I went through the miscarrying for several days but my hcg level was still rising. That when i had the d&c. The pain of miscarriage was gone as soon as i woke up from the procedure. I do suggest the d&c. There really isn't any pain involved in that.

crystal, I still wouldn't worry quite yet though. You and baby may be just fine. You never know until the doc tells ya:)

I had a D&C and was not put to sleep. It was very painful to me - a local numbing shot on my cervix that hurt alot and then the actual D&C was hellish ... I do not wish it on my worst enemy.
