SCATTERED SLEEP

Hey guys. I have been getting 4-5 hours a sleep per night but my sleep is more scattered than consistant. I will have like 3 hours straight and then an hour here and there, each hour interupted by a very detailed dream, and when I do wake it seems like ages b4 I can get shut eye again. I just lay there. I go through this once in a while, because of full time work and college study...but not like this...n e one share this lack of sleep? If so, what do do about it?

How far along are you? During weeks 3-9 I had the same problem. I found if I got more exercise during the day, I slept sounder at night, but with morning sickness this was hard to do. I gets better with time too.

I am nearly comatose today from that very problem... I don't know if I got even 2 consecutive hours of sleep last night. Most nights I wake up a couple times and can't go back to sleep. I think the lack of sleep is making my nausea worse today. Once I wake up, my mind goes wild on one topic or another, and I end up stressing myself out. My husband isn't much better off, because once I'm awake I pinch him every time he snores. This is not doing good things for me. I'm one of those people who don't feel too great if I don't get a full nights sleep - and I'm going on 2 months of this.

D - you sound like me a month ago. I'd wake up and hear my fiance snore and talk about annoying! I also got sicker when I didn't get enough sleep. On the weekends I usually felt better since I got to sleep in and not stress about work. My mind was always a frenzy at work. But it WILL get better. How far along are you? I know I've responded to you in other posts but I get everyone mixed up :)

Heidi - I'm 11 weeks. I think we're pretty close.... you just got luckier than me to get over this sickness!

Hey girls...I am in my 12th week and I feel like I could sleep standing up. I feel like I get about 2 hours of GOOD sleep a night. My problem is that I get up to go to the bathroom 3 to 4 times a night and each time it takes me about an hour to fall back asleep because my mind goes crazy about work. Someone mentioned in another thread that it is safe to take Tylenol PM and it seemed to work. I don't remember who said it but she said she took 1 at night before bed and it seemed to help. It was in the "insomnia" thread. Good Luck and if anyone has any ideas...share share share:-)
