Hey ladies, I have a question. Ok at 6 weeks my m/s started. (I will be 12 weeks tomorrow) and I would throw up after everything I ate. About two weeks ago it reduced to about once a day THEN all of the sudden yesterday I kept throwing up all day! 9 times to be excat. When I woke up, during breakfast, after breakfast, when I got to work, during lunch, after lunch, when I was leaving work, before dinner, after a late night snack. And 3 times so far this morning and its only 9am. (I'm not going to gain any weight at this rate!!!) Whew, what's wrong with me? ALL OF THE SUDDEN its hitting me like a ton of rocks, I don't understand. It's making me wonder if my body might be trying to tell me that something is wrong. . . . Maybe I'm thinking outside of the box. . . . I should probably call my peri and see what he thinks huh? I can't even keep my prenatals down since I throw up so frequently. HELP!

Its probably your hormones or something. Some people's m/s gets worse the farther along they get. Call your peri just let him/her know whats going on and he/she can give you some input to put your mind at ease. Just be sure to drink lots of juice, gatorade, or water to make sure you stay hydtrated hun. Keep us posted!

Thanks Newlywed. Hormones are so strange. I have that super hungry feeling constantly because I can't keep any food down, my body needs fuel lol! I've been drinking a lot of juice and water but it comes back up with everything else :( I hope my body is absorbing some of it.

You poor thing! its absorbing what it can! How about bread? Does that help at all? Plain bread or saltines? Soup?

Plain bread? Gross lol. I haven't really tried anything to prevent morning sickness besides eating more frequently because if I get too hungry I get sick. Preggie pops worked my last pregnancy but I didn't think my m/s would be so bad this time. In the past weeks it was ONLY after a meal, now all of the sudden its all day. Is that normal for it to revv up all of the sudden? I googled it but couldn't find any info. I need to eat right now but I'm being picky because I know its going to come right back up. Don't want to eat a granola bar, don't want to eat anything that will taste gross coming back up, I need some ice cream! Lol.

I am sorry you are going thru this after it stopped my sister was violently ill during her entire pregnancy literally up to the minute of the c-section in june her doctor gave her Zofran to help her keep anything down. She also drank ensure because she was lacking so much nutrients from puking and not being able to keep anything down. Maybe ask the peri if he can prescribe an anti-nausea med. I hope you feel better soon.

Thanks Robyn. I'd be too afriad to take any drugs. I'm sure this will pa__s. I'm just concerned as to why it came back so horribly out of the blue. That's not normal is it? That's what is freaking me out.

Hey! Just in case I would call your doctor about it in case you might have food poisoning or something, but I think this is probably just m/s....but be safe anyways. I am having a similar deal--I had general nausea (no throwing up) for weeks and it was fairly constant. By 9-10 weeks it let up a lot. Then it seemed gone until 2 days ago I literally was the closest I've ever been to actually puking! I'm nearly 12 weeks too, so I've heard that m/s sometimes has a "last hurrah" before it goes and maybe this is it for us? Mine hasn't been constant either. It hits like a huge wave and then totally disappears, but it hits harder than it ever did before.

you might need to go get a presciption. you need to keep nutrients in you. there are safe meds you can take that the doc can prescribe. sounds terrible. it;s really important to keep food in you so you and the baby don't dehydrate, etc. good luck!

Your welcome sweety keep us posted i hope you can get something in your stomach. Seriously try ensure it was a life saver for my sis. I have been extremely lucky and m/s never hit me. Lately though i have been getting little bouts of nausea and i am 29 weeks. Anyway just take care of yourself. Maybe Stef was right did you eat something that might be food posioning??

Thanks for all your responses ladies, your a life saver. I called my peri and he was gone for the day. I have an apointment tomorrow morning and my nuchal scan and blood test so I will ask then. *good news* my job had an x mas party, I ate a little threw up then finished my food and kept it down! I even had desert lol. Food posioning? I sure hope not!!!

Kimberly, that is cool that you have your nt scan and bloodwork tomorrow--so do I!!! 3pm tomorrow and then I'll be so glad that part is done. A girl that chats on a thread with me over in the m/c forum just had her NT scan today and found out she's having a boy at 13 weeks!!! I'm wondering if I can ask for a sneak peek? I didn't even know you could see the s_x this early?

It's perfectly normal with hormone fluctuations to get really sick all of the sudden. Just make sure you don't get dehydrated and if you can't keep down enough fluids, get some meds from your Dr. and it'll really help you.

Good luck tomorrow, keep me posted and I will do the same! WOW, she found out the s_x EARLY! We arent finding out this time.

Hey ladies! My NT scan went great today. It took like 45 minutes because the baby was moving soooo much! We got tons of great pictures. The fold on the back of the neck was 1. something VERY low, the doc said that was wonderful. The h/b was 165 and all the measurements match excatly. Yay! I got to hear the heartbeat through the u/s machine, lol that was strange but so cool! I hope your visits went great as well!!
