Hello--- Just curious if anyone knows if mucos in the stool is something to worry about. I am 9 weeks pg with my first (after trying for years and having one m/c) so I am really worried. It's not a lot, but it's been that way for a couple of days. I am not constipated but I am not having an easy time going either! Help!

Hmm. My first response would be... Is it blood tinged? And be a little bit more specific about what the mucos looks like. I know, I know... who really wants to describe their "poop", but you gotta be able to tell your doctor/midwife if needed. Give me some more info, and I will try to help.

How long as this been going on? Eating any differently?

Only the past couple of days. My eating habits are all messed up...due to the morning sickness and things. I have been eating a bit better lately though.

When is your next OB appt?

Not until the 29th. I was just there last Thursday but it wasn't an issue at the time. I just left a message for the nurse to call me back about it.

Yeah, I doubt its anything serious at all. Sounds more or less like an irritated bowel. If it persists, they may want a stool sample.

Yes, thats what a friend of mine told me. Especially since I've been diagnosed with mild IBS before. I hope you are all right! I am a near hypochondriac I tell you....when I first saw it I was convinced I had colon cancer or something along those lines!!

hi, not to be too personal about myself... but i get that and i have IBS. that is part of it. it isn't everytime and it isnt even when i have difficulty going necessarily. and i have read that pregnancy can bring on stronger IBS symptoms if you had mild IBS before. mine hasn't gotten any worse but mine was never real bad besides the continuous bloating anyways! still ask, but i bet that is all it is.
