Sudden Gagging Sensation

I have nausea all day, which is bad enough, but at times I get this gagging or choking sensation. When I go to throw up, air comes out very suddenly and forcefully. I have a hard time carrying on a conversation or sitting up straight because of this feeling. My doctor prescribed Trimethobenzomide, but so far it hasn't helped. Anyone else have this problem and if so, found a solution?

I know how you feel but unfortunately it actually makes me throw up. Almost anything can make me gag.... even just thinking about it. Nothing is helping me right now. I get it violently after I throw up. Gives me a headache. I try to always have ice or something cold to chew on. Also, Gum helps a bit.

I had this really bad with #1 and brushing my teeth was HELL!. Like Nell143, I would throw up, usually in the bathroom sink from my toothbrush- eww. Weirdest thing- peanut b___ter helped me (this was six years ago, though, and i think I've read lately you aren't supposed to eat peanut products while pregnant b/c it could cause peanut allergies in baby?? Is this true??). Anyway, the only other thing was to wait until about 13 weeks- mine disappeared then.
