Do you all think its ok to get tattoos and peircings in the first trimester?

when you go in for a tattoo or peircing they ask you if you are pregnant, if you say yes then they wont give you one.

It is not o.k. to get a tattoo. Some of the inks contain metals in them that are not good for the baby. After you've had a tattoo, your body metabolizes the metals, but can't when you first get one.

If your tattoo artist isn't as reputable as you think they are, you could get Hepat_tis from the procedure (well, the Hep would actually come from a lack of sterilization). Another risk could be an allergic reaction to the pigments. It doesn't seem to me like it is worth the risk, when you can wait a few months to get one.

Is is safe to get a tattoo while b___stfeeding?

you lose quite a bit of blood while getting a tattoo and it's not really safe.

i once had a tattoo artist told me that he wouldn't give me one unless i came back with a doctor's note saying it was o.k to get one.

my tattoo artist says no. she wont let me get any tats or piercings until after i have my child because she says your risk for infection is higher and your hormones are out of whack so your body will act differently towards the tat or piercing.

I actully got one not knowing that I was pregnant ( I was maybe a week or two) and it really took a long time to heal, it didn't get infected, but it really peeled for a long time and I wasn't sure if the colors were going to be ok, but it's been about 7 weeks now and it's good. But I never would have chanced it if I knew that I was pregnant. I don't know about peircings but I would just wait. Good luck
