ok so I went to the doctor and he gave me an ultrasound just for fun and when he did you could see the sack but I really could not see any thing else . then he measured the sack it measured at 5 weeks today. and I thought I was 7 weeks 5 days. but we were looking at the sack and he said really you would not see much at only 5 weeks.. but he said that the grayish things were my baby. but I really could not see anything. and now zI'm so scarred almost in tears. I dont want to worry . my doctor said every thing is fine but if I statr to bleed to come back in..(is that a normal thing to say??) but he said my next appointment that well do another ultrasound and by then I will be 9 weeks. I just dont know what to do.. if anyone has had this happen to them please let me know.. thank you

I had a similar experience actually. I have been charting my cycle so I pretty much know that I ovulated on day 20 of my cycle making me a week behind what the doc's would say based on their time chart of ovulating on day 14. Well, I went in for an ultrasound and he said the sac and everything seemed even more behind. I wouldn't worry so much about it. He saw a sac and claims to have seen a "baby", right? That's a good sign. Our bodies develop at different rates. Where we are at 6 weeks, 7 weeks, 9 weeks...it's all an estimate. The ultrasounds give you more of an exact timing anyways. Are you having pregnancy symptoms?

I am pregnant with #4 and each time I have had an ultrasound Im not as far along as I think (even tho I know exactly when my lmp was). It is usually due to ovulating late and/or your egg implanting slower than what is 'norm'. Dont worry! You will have a healthy baby!!
