Tilted Uterus And Fibroids

I just saw my doctor yesterday for our second ultrasound. I am 12 and a half weeks, and he said that he saw something in my uterus that could be either a fibroid or just a contraction. He also had a lot of difficulty taking pictures of the baby, because I have a tilted uterus. Does anyone know anything about either of these issues? He didn't seem overly concerned about either one. Thanks!

A tilted uterus is very common and is usually nothing to worry about. Fibroids are fairly common and usually don't cause any issues either. As long as your Dr. seems fine with it, then it's probably just fine.

i had a tilted uterus and the biggest problem is finding a heartbeat with the dopplar and finding the baby with the u/s, but as your baby grows your uterus will go to a normal position and everything will be fine.

If your uterus is tilted backwards (which is what it sounds like to me since he was having difficulty taking a u/s) it just means you're probably going to have more backpain later in pregnancy. Tilted forward, you will probably show sooner, and tilted to either side will give you more hip pain. Many women experience this and its not anything to be concerned about. Sometimes the uterus will even correct itself during pregnancy.
