Trips When Pregnant

I just got a BFP yesterday (2 different brand tests). I have not experineced any morning sickness yet, but I am going on a cruise April 11. I am just wondering if anyone else has gone on a cruise around 7 or 8 weeks and if they feel more motion sickness. I am very nervous and don't know if I can take dramamine (which I was planning on taking) or not. Let me know your travel experiences.

My cousin went on a family cruise when she was about 8 weeks and was sick the entire time (motion sickness from the boat and when we went on tour buses on the islands). She skipped dinner on a few nights because she was so sick. The rest of the family was able to guess that she was expecting because we had gone on cruises in the past and the motion never bothered her. I don't believe she took any medication, but used the patch that goes behind the ear. Hope this helps!

I went on a cruise with a friend who was about 6-8 weeks pregnant and she was fine the entire time. It may just depend on whether or not you had motion sickness before. Of course if you have morning sickness then I would think that the motion would only make that worse. Best of luck to you!

I went on a cruise during my first pregnancy when I was 7 weeks pregnant and I was fine. It was actually kind of nice because I didn't have the huge bar bill at the end of the trip! Cruising is one of the safest things to do when you are pregnant:)
