Uterine Cramps At 8 Weeks

Hello friends, I am excited to be pregnant at 37 with my first child. The past few days I have noticed occasional slight uterine cramps. I haven't yet had an official exam with a midwife (have "interviewed" with two so far). I've been in good spirits, but have been extremely tired; also spacy and nauseated. I figured with the cramps that maybe my uterus is just growing, but this evening my cramps are just a little more pronounced. Is this normal, or should I be worried? Thanks for any input you all might have.

Hello. I have had these on and off. I am now 11 1/2 weeks prego. My doctor told me this was fine. Some days are worse for me than others. I would still bring it to your doctors attention. Congrats to ya!!!!!

Thanks Heidi, I appreciate your input. One of the midwives I had spoken to called me on Saturday just to check in, and I told her about the cramps, which she also felt were normal. I feel quite relieved! I suppose on the other hand, if everything is not okay, there is nothing much I can do about, so I guess I will just go with my positive feelings.
