Hi, i just found out two weeks ago that i am pregnant estimate at 4 weeks. But last week i have an off and on va___al itching followed by discharge. Since, my schedule with my OB will be on Oct 11 i was advised to check with a Pg. I went to the pg last saturday and he said that i have a va___al thrush infection. I also notice a small bumps on my inner labia and its spreading and growing. That concerned me most. My pg recommended that i use a Canesten 6 day treatment. I am on medication at the moment but it seems nothing is happening. Though, the itchiness is gone but the bumps are still there. I just want to know, since this is my first occurence of thrush infection, is there really a small bumps? Is canesten safe for pregnant women like me on a first trimester? Though i know, i should trust my pg but as a mother to be it concernes me about the harmful effect on my pregnancy. This is my first baby and i want to have a healthy pregnancy. Your comments or advise is highly appreciated. Thanks and god bless

I would get a 2nd opinion from an ob before you use anything. Your ob's nurse should be able to help you if the ob can't yet see you

I would get a 2nd opinion, if I was you. I have had 3 yeast infection. I'm like you, the doctor say's it's safe to use a otc medication. They just can't give you that one dose pill. I hope I don't get any more. I'm really starting to hate them. Before I was pregnant, I have had only tow once before. Just go by what you doctor tells you to do. I hope everything comes out good for you.
