I saw a flickering or "wiggling" white image on my first ultrasound--was that the heartbeat? My dr seemed concerned at the size, so I am going beack next week for antoher, but I am really curious if what we saw was the heartbeat

Aimes, I just had my first ultrasound yesterday and saw the baby's heartbeat! I cried tears of joy as I've had 2 prev early m/c in just over a year. The heart beat was a lighter shade of grey than the rest and it fluttered/flickered quickly - I'm 6w4d and the heart beat was 132bpm. Good luck to you!

I had an ultrasound at 6w3d (I thought I was morle like 8weeks) but that is mostly all I could make out. The flickering where the tech pointed out the sac.

I just saw my baby's HB. It was amazing. I had some spotting a week ago an I was so afraid and then the dr said 'it is alive' and she pointed on smal gray area that was moving quickly. I just started to cry. I just asked through tears if it is stong and she said yes. She didn't give me heart rate. I measured 6w2d.

Leilani! That is siuch wonderful news to hear!! Good luck with your beautiful baby! It is so nice to hear good things. I am seven weeks today and the hearbeat was 115 bpm. Hey did anyone ever hear if girls heart beats and boys heartbeats are different in speed???

I don't think I'll relax until the baby is born and safely in my arms. I read that there is actually no proved difference in HB between s_xes, still some people claim that boys have lower heart rate.

I heard that boys have lower hear rates also. I hope that is not true I am routing for a girl this time. I already have my boy! But I will be happy no matter what, just as long as baby is healthy!
