I am 6 weeks and 3 days pregnant, i had two posotive tests at 1 day late. I'm taking my folic acid calcium and vitamin D, i have 3 baby books and i've been into the baby shops lots of times for a browse. I have my midwife appointment on monday. But does anyone else feel like it might not be real, i'm terrirfied that I'll go to my twelve week scan and nothing will be there. What if the tests were wrong. My mom says she can tell in my face and I'm so tired but it's just this unusual worry that it's all imaginary. Does anyone else feel like this? Or am i crazy? xxx

I think that your fear is common.. I am worried about not seeing the heartbeat when they do an ultrasound at 7 weeks. Your not crazy!

It is very normal to feel lilke the pregnancy is not real, especially when you are not showing. This will be my second child and I had my 12 week ultrasound today. I was very nervous about it, thinking something might be wrong. So, the worry is also very normal. We saw my baby and everything was fine. This pregnancy now feels very real. Good luck.

Your feelings are absolutely normal. I was the same way! The nurse laughed bc I had gotten + HPT, rising hcg levels and blood tests. She said... so what more do you need at this point? (very nice lady, we were laughing the whole time) I said I am a see it to believe it kind of girl! Well, I saw the HB and everything else that was supposed to be there! I believe it now! I wish i could get an ultrasound every 2 weeks just to make sure the little one is still beating away!!

Thank you!!!! I am so excited. I never ever thought i would feel like this!!!

it didn't become real to me until I had the ultrasound and saw the baby and the hearbeat - so you're not wierd!!! even still, I worry that I will stop being pregnant! I feel fine and nothing has happened to make me think that but I guess b/c so many women have such issues it seems impossible for it to be so easy for me!

I felt the same way and continued feeling that way until I felt baby movements. I was always slightly surprised when they found the heartbeat. I had my first OB appointment at 13 weeks and heard the heartbeat for the first time and got my first ultrasound in the same day and it was incredible and emotional. Just trust that it's there and give yourself lots of time to let it sink in.

I know exactly how you feel! before I did a digital HPT then went to the hospital to do a blood test and STILL didn't fully believe it lol up till I had an ultrasound my husband, friends and I called the baby a tumor lol its nick name was toomy because I did't want to get my hopes up and find out it was nothing. anyway Im almost 17 weeks now and have an appointment on monday (hopefully to find out the gender!) but I STILL fear that I'll go and nothing will be there.. its very normal to worry about things like this. try to stay positive and have faith. I hope you have a happy and healthy pregnancy :)

lol okay to clarify I meant to say I did and digital HPT and did a blood test and STILL didn't fully believe it... I don't know why I added that "before" to the beginning of that sentence *giggles*

I can completely relate too! I am 5w5d and just got my first u/s yesterday. They saw the sac and the fetal pole, no heartbeat yet though. The nurse said all looked good and my HCG levels were good. I'm just so scared I'll miscarry. i've had two. I'm crossing fingers that our "little seahorse" will show a heartbeat next week. When did you girls see a heartbeat? I think once i see it I will feel like this is real. I feel the same way as you Sugar. Are you getting a scan prior to 12 weeks?

Hi I was the same too, our baby wasnt planned so we found out when I was about 6-8wks, and I had taken 2 positive HPTs, when I went to the doc for my initial appointment he said that it wasnt proceedure to confirm, and the fact that I had 2 positive results was enough to book an ultra sound, my first u/s was when I was 13wks and I was terrified there would be nothing there, but ofc there was my baby for all to see, im sure you will be fine!
