I have a doctors appointment on Wednesday, the 16th and i will be 11 wks 4 days. what r my chances of hearing the heartbeat with the doppler? i lost my last baby at 9 wks 3 days and i have been worried sick since i hit that mark again. currently 10 wks and 5 days and no spotting or anythign since week 6 and i saw the heartbeat at 7 wks 2 days. i have had m/s kinda bad for the last few weeks but its starting to come and go now. but i saw my last baby's heartbeat at 6 wks 5 days and it died 3 wks later so i am scared they won't find a heartbeat. so are the chances good of hearing it before 12 weeks? i have 2 other children, but i never went to the doctor before 14 wks with either of them so i don't know about the doppler thing.

you should be able to hear your LO's heartbeat! I heard mine at 9 weeks and 6 days. What took him only a few seconds to find seemed like minutes, because I was so anxious. You'll have to tell us all about it when you get back form your appt!

good luck! I hear our baby's heartbeat on my 1st visit when I was almost 8 weeks. We went again yesterday for the 2nd time and heard it again, the baby also looked so much cuter than last time! this time it actually looked like a baby and it had it's arms spread out for the picture!

thanks everyone! that makes me feel better. I am so anxious for wednesday. luckily, Tuesday, i start back to school and will be there ALL day cuz my last cla__s isn't over until 6:30, so that will make the day pa__s faster! i am excited and nervous at the same time, i don't know how i would handle it if i lost another one. But this sounds crazy but with the one i lost, i had the most horrid dreams about losing it almost everynight! but with this one i think i have had 2 dreams just where i spotted but didn't lose it. I guess my body knew something was wrong with the other one. I just have to trust God and pray that everything is gonna be alright! thanks again girls! you all are all so supportive!

Cnas, I heard mine at 6 weeks 3 days so I am sure you will be able to hear it. Enjoy it!! Best wishes for a healthy 9 months!!

I SAW the heartbeat at 6 weeks 3 days, but was able to HEAR it on the doppler between 9 and 10 weeks. You should be able to hear it for sure at your appointment unless your doctor has an ancient doppler or uses a stethoscope. Good luck! I'm sure it will all be fine :)

I just want to say that even though the doctor will probably be able to pick it up there is a chance they won't but don't freak out. My doctor couldn't find it at my 11 week check-up but an ultrasound the next day found the baby was perfectly healthy and my uterus was tilted making it impossible to hear it with the dopplar.
