Hi.. Does anyone know when our babies will start to hear in the womb? I am curious, thanks!

I believe they develop their senses in the third trimester of the pregnancy.

I just watched "In the Womb" last night on the National Geographic channel. It was a great show showing the baby from conception to birth. They said the baby begins to hear around 14 weeks. The first thing the baby hears is the mother (digestive system, heartbeat, etc.). The baby mostly hears the mother because it is protected so well in the womb everything else sounds muffled.

Do you know when the baby will actually hear things on the outside? Like if we read to the baby or head phones for music on the stomach?

i believe they can sense vibrations around 14 weeks and then truly hear around 24 weeks..

They never really hear anything but loud tones for instance if a dog is barking it only hears sort of echoes of the dog barking it is muffled. But hears its mothers voice the most.
