When Do Your Hips Spread

I am 10w/1d and I feel like my lower back aches. Could that be my hips spreading already?

My a__sistant (she's only 19) told me at work 2 weeks ago that my backside is getting a lot wider... I'm 13 weeks now!

I am in the same boat as you. My back and my hips really hurt. I feel like I am just getting off of a horse when I walk! Let me know if you hear anything:)

TO EVERYONE: At about the 10th or 11th week of pregnancy, your pelvic bone joints begin to loosen up and become more movable because of the pregnancy hormone relaxin. This causes cramping around the area and is not cause for worry. Try to take it easy and keep warm.Limit your physical activity to moderate. Do not overexert on stretching that may affect using your muscles in the middle area of your body. Consciously switch sides when lying down. Get up slowly. Your blood needs to circulate. Remember, before you panic--realize that there is a lot of activity going on in there. Unless the pain is unbearable and/or accompanied by some kind of bleeding-- you should be fine. Enjoy the rest of your pregnancy!!!

Minx -- thanks your post really put my mind to rest. I am only at about 10 weeks and can already feel discomfort sleeping in the same position for a long time.
