I'm about 6 weeks along and I haven't gone to see a doctor yet. I feel fine. When is the normal time to start having appointments with an OBGYN?

With your first, it's best to go as soon as you can get an appointmet. You need to start on prenatal vitamins right away. The doctor can give you a good idea about what to expect, and give you peace of mind that everything is going well.

Usually you visit the doctor at 7th of 8th week so that he sees the baby and the sac and also hears the first heartbeat.I am also at 6 weeks and i have an appointment on thursday.

I called my doctor as soon as I took my home pregnancy test and she did not want to see me until I was 8 weeks. So I have another 2 weeks before my appointment. I cant wait

I have another 3 weeks before my 1st appointment. Its been 5+ weeks now. My doctor also didn't want to see me before 8 weeks.

I was told not to come in until 8 weeks also...iif you read the comments on women who got ultras before then they all were told scary things about not being able to see the baby etc...

We are a military family. So we see post doctors. The OBs dont see patients till they are between 10-12 weeks here and have u/s proof of a viable pregnancy. I dont like this at all and wish I had already seen a doctor Im 9 weeks. I think normal would be around 6-8 weeks though.

I had an appointment a 5 weeks.

my doctor won't see anyone until they are in between their 10th and 12th week.
