When Should You Start Buying Stuff

This is my first time being pregnant (12 wks). I am very exicted and I want to run to store and buy everything. Some of my friends tell me it is way to early to start buying stuff. When should you start buying things for the baby?

I would probably wait until you are near the end of your 2nd trimester. Once you start I'm sure you won't have a hard time acc_mulating stuff. Just to be on the safe side I;d wait till then.

Hi Beth..When I first found out that I was pregnant. I was Christmas shopping and found this cute outfit that says I love my daddy. I couldn't resist and bought it...

I am only 7 weeks and have bought several different items already. I don't believe in waiting "just in case".

I don't believe in waiting "just in case" either, but I am thinking from the looks of it I am thinking my fiance thinks that way. . plus we are going to have such a HUGE baby shower that he thinks we won't have to buy anything for awhile. . .HA I don't know what he is thinking, he has three kids from a previous marriage, he should know better!! :0)

My husband has one child..maybe he knows better too! He also wants to wait till we find out the s_x of the baby...

Beth - February 3

yeah thats a good idea, waiting until the s_x of the baby is known. . .I am for sure going to find out!

Amy - February 3

Me too! My husband wants a boy because he has a daughter. I don't care what I have...this is so exciting.

Beth - February 3

I don't care what I have as long as it is healthy. . .but there of course are favorites in the family. Fiance has one daughter and two sons, daughter is the oldest so she wants a girl desperatly. My mom and his mom are also voting for a girl!

I would wait till the beginning of your third trimester to buy things. I am having my second child and with the first I realised just how much stuff other people get for you (ex grandparents) what I did this time around was 2 days after I found out I purchased a baby book you can't go wrong there! I am dying to shop to my first is almost 8 so its been along time since little things have been in my house!!!!

Im 10 weeks and starting buying things already my mum is going crazy buying stuff. My husband wanted to wait until he seen a heartbeat on the U/S then he didnt care, we havent gotten any of the big things yet because there is a chance its twins strong family history, we only seen one heart beat but one could be hiding fingers crossed.
