Penny - March 31

Good Morning!!! I hope today you all have a much better day!! I'm finally feeling a ton better, but still tired as hell. I keep waking up in the middle of the night, c___p it's not like I have to pee, but I do just to get it out of the way :)......I'm just not looking forward to those nights that actually have a reason for me to be woke up. Steph, I hope your doing okay, I was in a cla__s all day yesterday so I wasn't around much (or at all). I feel for each of you for what your going through with your BF's or husbands. God only knows that I was married to the worse one ever (that was 10 years ago). We still don't talk nor does he communicate with his two kids. So I've been there, and should be thanking God everyday what a lucky person I am to have this great guy in my life right now. He came over last night for a few minutes (because we don't get to see each other everyday, with his kids, my kids and work ect......) and he brought me a dozen roses........now mind you they were only from the grocery store, but it was so sweet. I asked him what I did to deserve those? and he said nothing he just loved me. :) I'm telling you as much as Im a total b___h, I still don't know how I ended up with someone like him. He's definately one I'm keeping :).....but I remember hearing people talk about there husbands or BF's like that, and really thought that I would never find anyone that I could be completely happy and in love with........but it does (it just took me an awful long time to find him!!) and of all places UTAH??? wierd I know...so it looks like I'm stuck in this state, unless I can convience him to move!! Ha that won't happen. :)

Wrote in the other thread: Glad my sarcasm was percieved as that. Misty- waitressing sucks! I waitressed for about 3 years and finnally got the job I have now. I was slingin pizza slices at a pizzeria and making esspresso for snobby folk who totally belonged at Starbucks or something not a little podunk hole in the wall pizza place that happened to have an esspresso machine...lol. I happend to meet a guy that used to come in all the time, one of my fave usuals, and me and him started to kick it and found out his mother was hiringing for an accounts payable person over at a construction company...talk about luck because I am making double what I was there (including tips) with full bennifits etc...its nice. Its hard when youre on your feet all day and have to be nice to people who totally dont deserve it! And woah now lady where do you live if you dont mind me asking...2.13 an hour? What the hell is that? I found that in my car after sitting down with my apron on after work! I made 8 dollars an hour not including tips up here waitressing! Thats c___ppy, but I bet the cost of living is way cheaper where youre at huh? Well at least we're all busting a__s..some more than others and some better at pretending more than others..ha ha ha....

Steph - March 31

Good Morning Ladies and feeling better today. I am just really hungry and I am going to boil an egg right now. YUM Hey Robyn we have alot in common I use to waitress to at a snobby place it was called the pomona valley mining company which sat on the top of a hill over looking the 10 FRWY. You know California is notorious for their Frwy.s HAHA I'm gonna work but I'll be back

Cost of living is definately cheaper here, and I actually do kind of like my job. With tips it comes to about $12 an hour. Not bad. And they give me whatever schedule I want as long as I tell them in advance. It is mostly college students that work there so we have to work around school schedules. My work is very accomidating. And Penny, lucky lucky girl, I wish my guy would do stuff like that for me, it is like at the moment we are just living together, it will get better, things tend to flucuate with us a lot. But at the moment it is tough, He works Sunday through Thurs. and I work all day Fri. through Sun. We don't ever have any time off together. And now that I'm pregnant I want to go out and do silly romantic things together. Like go to one of our state parks or something. :-) Oh well, once his probation period is up he is going to ask for a different schedule. Cross my fingers.

Hey Misty Im kinda wonderin where you live to bc I never heard of that kind of minimum wage. OUCH!! I guess with your tips it makes up but Im always selfish and want more MoRe MORE!! HAHA My bf still has'nt apologixzed but at least were talking I'll have him kissing my toes by tonight!

Misty - March 31

I live in north Florida. Minimum wage is actually about $5.60 an hour, it's just waitresses don't get that because they expect us to make our money from tips. And tips actually do put us at quite a bit over minimum wage, as long as it isn't too slow :-) How far along are all of you ladies. My estimated due date is Oct 26th. Anyone close to that? And apartment around here sound like they cost just about as much as thhey do for you in Washington. I just don't make as much as you guys that live in Cali because it costs you out the a__s to live there. Beautiful place but talk about expensive. My parents have a neighbor that just moved from california and they moved into a bigger house that is cheaper then the one they had before. And man you guys had some retchid weather over there for a while. I felt bad for anybody that lived in California when all that flooding was going on.

D - March 31

Hey, I think I know where that place in Pomona is.... We moved east because it is just so hard to make a living in California. It was a hard move for me, having lived my whole life in the same area, but after the culture shock wore off, we decided we love it! We can actually afford to have a family now. Not that it will be easy... but where we were in CA, it would have been next to impossible.

Robyn - March 31

My estimated due date is the 29th of Oct, but I am having twins so it is probably going to be before that. Preterm is common with twins I guess.

I drove through California once on a vacation with friends. We got in the pacific ocean just to say that we had, :-) and we saw the redwood forest, beautiful. I never went to Washington, but I did go to D.C.(had someone argue with me once that D.C. was in Washington lol) D.C. was really neat. I might like to live near there someday. so many things.

D - March 31

My folks live in the redwood forest.... That is one thing I miss here - the BIG trees! Its beautiful, but different! I think most of the CA girls on here live quite a ways from the redwoods, though!

Stephanie - March 31

I guess I am use to the cost of living bc I have never lived out of Los Angeles County but I have been living on my own since I was 16 with my son. My Dad had agreed to let me live with my sons father who lived with his grand mother. None the less we did'nt have to pay rent. When I got pg with mmy daughter I was 17 and then had her 2 days before my 18th B-day (Happy b-day to me) HAHA so We went on welfare and I gave "grandma" $300 a month to help out. By the time the kids were 4 and 6 years old I had moved out on my own off welfare and I had already been working for sometime and paid $700.00 a month for 2 bd. 1 1/2 bath townhouse. Not too bad on a cul-d-sac too! But that was in 1998 and I finally had enough with their father (drugs) so I made him leave. I did'nt make enough for that van pymt. rent food utilities so I started dancing, (exotic) that lasted for 2 yrs. I met someone who introduced me to what I do now (Property Management). I use to make $10,000.00 a month more or less every month changed and now my income is about $2500.00 a month. BIG difference. I really like Cali but I'd like to venture somewhere in the future. I just don't know where yet although I fell in love with Florida both times I went. St. Augustine is my fav. :o)

rb - March 31

hey girls - man -i've actually been working today - but feel like i've neglected you all - lol...misty - ours are close edd's - mines Oct 18.. so we're 11 weeks right? or is it 12... god i'm STILL confused... so i guess everyone here lives in the US -i'm in bc, canada.. and man is it expensive to live here - but it's beautiful so we deal with it...

Stephanie - March 31

Ohhh. I got way off track did'nt I That must be what my bf keeps talkin about LOL HAHAHAHHAH anyways you can find nice 2 bd apts for around $1100.00 a month now but its kinda dumb to pay that when we have 1 3bd 2 bath house for $1200.00 a month. Even 3 bd apts. are $1500.00. TOO MUCH

Misty - March 31

It is cheaper to buy then it is to rent, we are looking at getting a 3/2 trailor on at least 1 acre of land and it looks like it will come to about 85 grand. That breaks down to about 650 a month. Talk about cheap. :-) Oh well I got to go to work. Enjoy your day ladies. See you all later. So glad I met you all also, it's nice to have people on here that I can talk to beyond the normal question and answer deal.
