Will I Have The Same Effect

i just recently found out im pregnant with my 2nd child my first born is now 5 1/2 yrs old i have been trying ever since to have another i have pcos but wasnt aware of this with my first pregnancy, i had gestational diabetes and seevere toxemia and delivered 2 months early -my son ended up being very sick and was in the hospital for 6 weeks after birth (he was sick due to premature labor) im afraid that this time will be the same and i dont want it to be i want to go through my whole pregnancy and have a healthy baby is there anything i can do to ensure this will not repaet itself or is it a big possibliity it will happen? p.s. i dont know how far i am yet im either 7+ weeks or 4+weeks i sometimes miss my periods so i dont know if my october period was really my "last" period

I would definitely catagorize you as "high risk". You need to contact your OB and get a referral to a perinatologist for your OB care. Every pregnancy is different, so there is a chance you could get through this one with little or no problems. Get in touch with the doctor and devise a plan to give you and your baby the best chance possible. The sooner they know you are pregnant the better. Congratulations and good luck! :o}
