I am trying to get pregnant for now 4 months without luck yet. My period was due on the 25, I got my period on the 24th for about 24 hours - a very light pink to very light blood, no clogs. For the next 24 hours I had nothing and now I have a ver very light brown discharge and my br___ts are super tender. However, the HPT is negative. It is too early to test right? Can I have these symptoms and still have a negative test (one day after missed period). Thanks for your answer.

If you tested after your period and the result is negative, then you are not pregnant.

Rick is wrong. HPT's are incorrect often as HcG needs time to build up in your urine. Take a test 2 days later as HcG doubles every 48 hrs. I have been pregnant twice and both times my tests were neg for a week post period due date. Use a first morning urine as HcG is at its highest concentration if you have not urinated for 6 or more hrs.

Thanks E. Rick's answer was very discouraging ... Almost another day has pa__ses and no period. I will wait a week and then do another HPT. :)

Yeah, keep testing. Some women on this site have been pregnant for months and not been able to achieve a + test until close to the 2nd trimester. A blood test is the most sensitive so you may want to call your doctor if you are as impatient as I am. Make sure it is the type of blood test that measures the exact ng/ml of HcG in your blood. There will be a number a__sociated with the result. Make sure they give the number to you so that you know it was that particular blood test. There is another type of blood test that is only as reliable as a urine test. Good luck and let us know:)

I got a positive result today, however I have very very very light colored discharge and very little of it - my b___bs do not hurt as much anymore but they are much larger than before. Will keep on praying that it will remain positive. Thanks to all for your support.
