Hi, I am 23 weeks pregnant and i am not feeling strong fetal movements. I, sometimes feel mild movements similar to that of flutters, but not sure whether these are movements. I had a scan last week and the report says that the fetal movements are normal. Still, i dont feel much of strong feelings or sensations which i can say confidently as fetal movements. Is this normal? I am very much worried. Pls. help.

Did they tell you the position of your placenta? If your placenta is in front and a bit on the low side it could keep you from feeling strong movements. This is my sixth pregnancies and I am currently 20 weeks and still the movements and kicks are not strong as with my other pregnancies. Doctor told me I had a low lying placenta and it was in front so I wasn't feeling baby as much because the baby is kicking my placenta instead of my torso wall. According to the scan, she's kicking up a storm and moving all around... I just don't feel it so much. I know how you feel, I would feel much better if I could really feel her move.

They did not tell me anything about the position of the placenta. But the scan report reads that the placenta's position is posterior. Does this mean that the placenta is in front and on the lower side? I read on the internet that in 23 weeks, it is normal to have the placenta in the posterior position. But do let me know your views. Is this a cause of concern?
