I took a pregnancy test, and there was two faint lines in the positive window, and a line in the control window..what in the heck does that mean?!

I'm pretty dure all tests are the same, but read the instructions just in case. 1 line in the results window normally means negative and two mormally means postive. I would say you are pregnant. But I am not positive that the test you took wasn't different from most. If anything they normally have an 800 number listed that you can call if you have questions. I think 800 numbers are always open so you should be able to call them even though it is late.

depending on the test you took, it may have been a dud. do another one or go to the doctors to be sure.

It sounds like a First Response Test. The two lines indicate that you are pregnant. I read that although it is faint, that is still considered a positive result. To be on the safe side I would try an EPT pregnancy test. That one would give you a plus sign. Good luck!

I'm 99% sure this means you are pregnant even if the lines are faint. A line in the control window is an indication that the test has worked correctly. I'd do another in a couple of days just to check. Your hormone levels will be a bit higher by then, but I really am pretty sure that you are. :-)

With the test I took it had 2 lines in the pos. window and 1 line in the neg. window and sure enough I was pregnant. P.S the test was 1st response.
