Hi there. Well.. I'm 39wks & 3days! Feeling great, no back pains, not contractions-- nothing. Baby is moving great. Her head is SO LOW! I went to Doc last Friday I was dilated 1cm & 50% eff. I know you shouldn't russ things-- that my baby will come on its on. I know-- But my boyfriend (father of child) on his college springbreak til the 23rd. But he gotta go 19th & 20th for a BIG track meet. & I would love our baby to be born before that! Just so it wouldn't be so stressful if she was to come on those days, cause i know he would just drop & leave his meet. So, I'm doing thing to help speeds things up! I have tried Walking (on my tredmill) Exercise bike Eating Eggplant & Pineapple. Sex (Its getting to the point tho, that its uncomfortable down there) So any other mommies have any ADVICE or HINTS/ TIPS to help a girl out?! :) I believe I'm gonna go walking more. Lol Oh ya. I forgot to add-- I been having a lot more discharge then normal.. like A LOT. Is that okay during pregnancy? Is that a sign of anything? Thanks.

Primrose oil is suppose to help efface you, but I tried it with my last and I swear I dialated slower than with my last two babies. Nipple stimulation(weird, I know) is suppose to bring on contractions too, some women have used a b___st pump to start contractions. I don't reccomend castor oil, it just causes bad diarhea. Lots of walking and s_x. I know how uncomfortable s_x can be right now but sperm has prostaglandins in it which helps soften the cervix. Really though the baby will come only when it is ready, I don't think any technique will work unless your body is ready to begin with. Not to be discouraging but I walked around 5 cm dialted with my second for almost 2 weeks, without on single contraction, so just because you are dialated some don't mean labor is any closer.
