5wks And Symptoms Slowing Down

I am 5wks 3 days and found that my symptoms are slowing down. I had a miscarriage back in November and the same thing happened. When they did a sono the dr. said the baby had stopped growing at about 4-5 wks. Now I've notice my bbs don't hurt as much and I'm not having the uterus cramping I had last week. I have a sono scheduled tomorrow. My levels were really high, 120 3 days before missed af and then 1600 6 days later - I was feeling so positive. Anyone have this happen and go on with a full term baby? I'm so scared I'm going to miscarry again.

Hi Linda, I'm sorry i can't help you, I'm actually in the same boat. I have had 2 mc, but i didn't suspect either one. Now I am also 5 wks 3 days and I feel like i'm losing my symptoms too. I have a scan sheduled for tomorrow - hopefully we will find out everything is okay. I just wanted to let you know that you're not the only one who feels like this - I wish you the best of luck!

Oh thanks for writing back Robyn. We are exactly the same. My scan is for 4:30 tomorrow afternoon and I have no idea what they expect to see so early on. How can they even tell if it's viable when there isn't even a heart beat yet? Did you have your levels checked? Mine were good, 120 3 days before af was due then 1600 6 days later. I was feeling so positive, now I'm just scared.

At this point symptoms can come and go...it's still early. All through the early part of this pregnancy I was soooo worried cause all of a sudden one day I felt totally better than I had the day before, but then a couple days later I was slammed again by sickness. Just try not to micro manage your symptoms. I know it is super hard to do, especially after a loss, but the more you worry the harder it will be on your baby. And for sure, don't be worried if you don't see a heartbeat at your ultrasound. At this early stage, there really isn't alot to see. Good luck, I hope you go on to have a very happy and halthy pregnancy, and please, try not to worry! :)

Thanks Drew. I've heard that about ms, but I think I'm worried because my bbs aren't as sensitive as they were. Also the uterine cramping has slowed down quite a bit. Now I just feel like I'm going to get af any minute again. I had that last week. You're right though, I am micromanaging my symptoms because of my previous loss. I knew week prior to my mc that something was wrong because my bbs stoppe dhurting and the crampiness went away. I just don't think I can handle that again. I asked the murse yesterday if it's normal if my symptoms drop off a little and she said yes, but I keep reading that if they do you should contact your provider right away. hanks for listening!

Hi everyone! Just wanted to let you know my sono went well. Of course they didn't actually tell me anything, I have to wait until the dr. sees the results but I saw the screen and she pointed out the gestational sac, the yolk sac and the fetal pole. I even have a picture! This is terrific as far as I'm concerned. When I mc and they did the sono it just looked like a blood clot about the size of a pea, this time (and I'm a few days ahead of where I was last time) it really looks like it's developing. Hopefully when I see the ob today he'll have the actual results and schedule me for another sono in about a week and 1/2 so we can see the heartbeat. I am 5.5 weeks today. Feeling pretty good, little bit of ms. My bbs hurt on and off now, I've gotten used to it so it's not as scary anymore. My cramping comes and goes too. Had some lower back ache and the constipation is starting too. I welcome it all!

Linda, that's great to hear that you had good news! I have my scan today, hopefully I'll get some good news also and then I could start to relax a bit! Good luck in the rest of your journey!

Thanks Robyn, same to you. Please check in to let me know how your scan went! Hopefully it's all good! BTW how are you feeling today?

I feel exhausted today, my bbs are sore, but i haven't really felt much down below for a while. Sometimes I think I have cramps but then I think its just gas - who knows! I guess I'll find out today. Thanks for the kind words. :)

I have tons of gas pains! Usually if I have a cramp that is really strong it turns out to be gas! I'm glad you still have your symptoms though! Please keep in touch!

Hi guys, Just wantde to share with you, I spoke to my dr. about the results and it turns out they did see a heartbeat! I was only 5.4 wks, but the heartbeat measured 104bpm. I am so excited! I have another sono scheduled for the 21st so we can see it ourselves!
